We would love to have you be our guest. Calvary is a welcoming place where you will hear the truth of God's Word proclaimed on a weekly basis. Since Bible truth is timeless, it will be applied to the world in which we live. Each message will be challenging, convicting, and encouraging, and will point us to the greatest message of hope ever given - Jesus.
We have a special place and a special gift for each of our guests and look forward to seeing you soon.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Preaching & Teaching
The focal point of the church is the preaching and teaching of God's word. It is the source of our salvation (Romans 10:17), the guide to our life (Psalm 119:105), and our weapon in spiritual conflict (Ephesians 6:17).
The King James Bible is God's preserved word for the English-speaking world and the only English translation we use.
Regardless of the issues of the day, God's Word holds the answer. It is timeless truth, transparent truth, and transforming truth. (Hebrews 4:12)
Singing & Worship
Music is a vital part of our worship and our lives as believers. Therefore, it should reflect the God we worship, His holiness, and the timeless truths of His word - grace, faith, love, hope, and much more.
Our music consists of traditional hymns and gospel songs. It is music that will feed the spirit and point to Christ. It will not remind you of the world - its sights and sounds - but of our Saviour.
Fellowship & Outreach
Our purpose is to share the hope and life-changing gospel of Jesus Christ. You will receive a smile, a warm handshake, and sometimes a welcoming hug.
We love spending time together as a church family and try to be engaged in our community in different ways. Most importantly, we prayerfully and financially support missionaries across our country and around the world.
THE WORSHIP SERVICE
Though we do have children and youth bible studies after the worship service, everyone is together for the main worship service.
The service will consist of a time of singing, prayer, fellowship, a special by one of our singing groups, and a message from God's Word.
We do not currently have nursery facilities.
EXPECT TO BELONG
Visiting a church can be intimidating but when it comes to Calvary Baptist, you can relax.
We’re not perfect.
That’s probably why we make such close family, we are all a work in progress and seek to grow in grace. We are not here to evaluate you, but to welcome you. Don’t worry about having to measure up or fit in. We really mean it when we say that “At Calvary you’re not only welcome, you’re wanted.”
We’re about a Relationships
We believe that the Bible teaches that the most important thing any of us can have is a personal relationship with Christ. If you are new to that, that’s ok, we would love to show you where to start! There is no tradition, no structure, and no systems more important than your relationship with Jesus. That is our focus here at Calvary; A Relationship, not a Religion.
We speak plain English.
We worship Jesus, study the Bible, and encourage each other in simple terms you’ll be able to connect to your daily life. We believe and teach what the bible actually says and why it matters. The truth in the pages of God’s word are as relevant today as when they were penned. Through the teaching and preaching of God’s Word we can help show you how to apply that Truth to life in the twenty-first century.
We’re normal people.
When you walk through the doors of Calvary Baptist Church, you will find hard working people, just like you. People looking for encouragement, for help, for hope, and for a better understanding of God’s Word. We really are just regular, friendly people who have found some good friends who also have found faith in Jesus Christ.

Children’s ministries and adult classes are all well-planned and prepared so that your Sunday is a well-invested time of personal growth.

At Calvary, we worship Jesus. Our goal is pleasing Jesus, not entertainment, and we believe the service will touch you deeply.
Expect a practical Bible message.
Pastor Moore will teach and preach the Word of God. The messages will apply God’s wisdom to real-life situations. The Bible has the answers you’ve been looking for, and it’s essential for your journey through life.
Expect to be impacted by truth for the better.
Our goal is simple—to love and encourage you by giving you the truth. Whatever you’re facing, wherever you come from, whatever decisions you are up against—God’s word will be exalted and God’s love will make a massive difference.

Every week, Calvary Baptist Church welcomes guests from Farmington and surrounding areas. Many of them are burnt out on either religion or secularism, and are sincerely looking for a truthful, spiritual alternative to both. We believe Jesus’ Gospel is the only true answer for the longing of a person’s soul.
Calvary Baptist is for the skeptic or the believer.
